GRILLED BARLEY BEEF BURGERS 
3/4 c. cooked barley
12 oz. lean ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
4 hamburger buns
1 sm. onion, quartered
2 tbsp. barbecue sauce
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper

Grill or broil for 8 or 10 minutes. Calories 339, protein 20g, fat 14g, carbohydrate 33g, sodium 656mg, cholesterol 52mg.

1. Combine barley and onion in food processor. Whirl until finely chopped. Add beef, barbecue sauce, salt and pepper. Whirl using on-off pulses until evenly combined. Shape into 4 patties.

2. Grill or broil 5 inches from heat 8 to 10 minutes, turning once. Serve on buns.
