German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. soft butter 1 lg. can evaporated milk 1 pkg. caramels 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 c. chocolate chips Mix cake mix, butter and 2/3 can evaporated milk. Spread 1/2 mixture on bottom of ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Melt caramels with 1/3 can milk, then add pecans. Pour over baked bottom, spread on chocolate chips and carefully spread remaining mixture. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. |
