MAGIC BISCUITS | |
5 c. flour 4 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 pkg. yeast 4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. shortening 2 c. buttermilk Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water. Sift flour, soda, salt, baking powder and sugar together. Cut in shortening. Add yeast and milk to dry mixture. Mix to stiff dough. Knead on floured area. Pinch off biscuits or roll and cut out. Allow to rise 10 minutes and bake at 425 degrees. Formed biscuits may be stored in refrigerator and baked next morning. |
