SCOTTISH CHOCOLATE CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar, soda and cinnamon in mixing bowl. In a small saucepan, boil butter, cocoa and water. Pour over flour mixture; mix well. Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla; mix well. Pour into 11x16 inch or 10x13 inch pan (greased and floured). Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

FROSTING:

Start 5 minutes before cake is done:

1 stick butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/3 c. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut

Mix first 3 ingredients and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients; mix well. Spread on cake.
