GINGERBREAD WAFFLES | |
WAFFLES: 2 1/4 c. flour 2 tsp. ginger, ground 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 egg, separated 1 c. light molasses 1/2 c. skim milk 1/3 c. butter, melted Salt Combine flour, ginger, baking soda and salt. Beat egg yolk and add molasses, milk, melted butter; mix well. Beat egg white until stiff peaks form. Fold into batter. Bake in preheated waffle iron. Serve with ice cream. Makes 6 to 8 waffles. |
