SHERRY DONUT PUFFS 
2 eggs
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. grated orange rind
2 tbsp. soft shortening
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sherry wine
1/4 c. orange juice

Beat eggs; foamy. Beat in sugar, orange rind and shortening. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and stir into egg mixture alternately with wine and orange juice; smooth batter.

Drop by teaspoonsful into hot fat, 375 degrees. Dip spoon into fat first to allow dough to slide easily. Fat should be 3/4 inches deep. Fry about 2 minutes to brown. Drain on paper and dip while hot into sherry glaze.

SHERRY GLAZE:

1 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 tsp. sherry wine

Blend powdered sugar and wine together until smooth.
