PEANUT BUTTER ROUNDUPS 
1 c. soft shortening
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Quaker oaks (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)

Beat shortening and sugar together until creamy. Add eggs and peanut butter, beat well. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in oats. Shape dough to form 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. With tines of fork, press to make criss crosses on each. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
