MICROWAVE CORN CHOWDER
3 slices bacon, chopped
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
2 tbsp. flour
1 can cream style corn
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. snipped parsley
1/4 tsp. salt (or to taste)
1/4 tsp. pepper
Chicken bouillon cube

1. Combine bacon and onion in 2 quart casserole. Microwave at High (100%) until bacon is crisp and onion is tender, 4 to 6 minutes, stirring after half the cooking time.

2. Blend in flour. Stir in corn, bouillon cube, milk, parsley, salt and pepper. Microwave, High, until slightly thickened, 7 to 12 minutes, stirring after half the cooking time. If using microwave that doesn't have a carousel, stir 2 or 3 times during cooking time. Makes 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
