BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
3 1/2 to 4 c. White Lily self-rising flour
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. buttermilk

Mix thoroughly until dough is firm to handle. (If you need to add more flour you can.) Roll dough onto a floured surface. Cut biscuits with a biscuit cutter. Bake in a greased pan at 500 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
