1 1/2 lb. Italian sweet sausage
1 lg. can sauerkraut
Mashed potatoes, can be instant

Cook sausage thoroughly. Cut into serving pieces. Cook sauerkraut your favorite way; I use caraway seed and garlic. Place sauerkraut in casserole. Place sausage on top. Completely seal with mashed potatoes. Dot with butter and bake about one hour at 350 degrees or until potatoes take on a golden color.
