1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. buttermilk

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, orange peel and vanilla. Mix flour, baking powder and soda together. Combine with creamed mixture. Add buttermilk. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Frost while warm.

ICING:

1 tbsp. grated orange peel
3 tbsp. orange juice
3 tbsp. butter
3 c. powdered sugar

Mix together until the right consistency for spreading.
