PERSIMMON COOKIES 
1 c. persimmon pulp, add 1 tsp. baking soda to pulp
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. brandy

Adding 2 teaspoons brandy makes dough moist.
