MOM'S BUNS | |
2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt Sift above ingredients together. Crumble 1/2 cup butter (1 stick) into above. Beat 1 egg in a cup with 1/2 cup whipping cream. Roll out in 3 parts. Melt 1/2 of 1/4 pound butter, spread over rolled dough. Sprinkle over dough, sugar, cinnamon, nuts, and raisins. Roll like a jelly roll and cut slices about 2 inches thick. Bake at 350 degrees until brown, about 20 minutes. When done, cool and roll in powdered sugar. This is an original from my Mother, I marked down the ingredients one day as I watched her make them, otherwise they wouldn't come out the same all the time. These buns are really scrumptious. |
