Black-Eyed Susans

This was a challenge cookie recipe at the Howard County Fair. The winner had a "beautiful" looking cookie with a pointy-tip center. In my opinion a more realistic-looking cookie could be made by 1)turning the point side of the Kiss inward so that the flat surface is exposed and looks more like the center of a flower. And 2) I would think that instead of a smooth cookie you would want cracks and creases to form as you insert the kiss so as to look like the petals. I guess the judges disagreed with me because I didn't win. But please remember these tips if you want a more realistic Black-Eyed Susan.
