BROILED STEAK MANDARIN STYLE 
2 cloves garlic
6 slices ginger
2 scallions
3 tbsp. light soy sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. peanut oil
Salt & pepper to taste
1 flank or sirloin steak

Chop garlic, ginger and scallions very fine. Combine garlic, ginger, scallions, light soy sauce, sugar, peanut oil and salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Marinate steak in mixture for a few hours. Preheat broiler and broil. You can barbecue it on an outdoor grill. Baste with mixture occasionally while broiling. Slice and enjoy.
