FUDGEY BROWNIES 
3/4 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. vegetable oil
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
8 oz. chopped nuts

Stir cocoa and baking soda in mixing bowl. Blend in 1/3 cup oil. Add boiling water; stir until mixture thickens. Stir in sugar, eggs, and remaining 1/3 cup oil; stir until smooth. Add flour, vanilla and salt; blend completely. Stir in nuts. Pour into lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan or two 8 inch square pans.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes for oblong pan and 30-32 minutes for square pans. Cool; frost if desired.

Can use 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
