KENTUCKY PECAN PIE 
1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c. pecans
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. water

Combine syrup, sugar, salt, butter, and vanilla. Mix well and then add beaten eggs. Pour into unbaked pie shell and then sprinkle pecans on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

PIE CRUST:

Mix flour, salt, and Crisco together, then add water. Roll out on a piece of waxed paper, that has 1/4 cup flour on it, then put in pie pan and then add the mixture; bake.
