NOODLES & CABBAGE 
1 med. cabbage
1 sm. onion
1 tbsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter
Black pepper
1 (16 oz.) pkg. egg noodles

Finely grate cabbage and onion or chop in food processor. Salt mixture, cover and let stand for at least 1/2 hour.

Squeeze the liquid from the mixture.

Brown 2 tablespoons butter in large pan. Add cabbage and onion mixture and cover pan. Steam mixture over a low heat approximately 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Cook noodles according to package directions and drain. Add cooked noodles to steamed cabbage. Brown remaining 2 tablespoons butter and add to mixture. Pepper to taste and enjoy as a side dish or as a tasty peasant meal.
