6 c. flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 3 c. sugar Pinch of salt 7 eggs 4 tbsp. Crisco 2 tsp. vanilla 32 oz. honey 1 bottle colored candy sprinkles In large bowl, mix first 4 ingredients. Beat eggs and vanilla and add to mixture with Crisco. Work dough until completely mixed. Cut small pieces of dough and roll on floured board into long rods. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces and continue until all dough is finished. Deep fry to golden brown. In very large pot, slowly heat honey and carefully pour cookies in pot, turning slowly to coat with honey and not break cookies. When completely coated, spoon cookies into large serving platter in form of a wreath with hole in center of platter. Sprinkle candies over cookies. |
