JAYNE JOHNS BRAN MUFFINS 
1 lg. egg
1/2 - 3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 1/3 c. banana, mashed
1/3 c. nuts or raisins
1/3 c. veg. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. oat bran
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt

Grease muffin pan and preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream egg, sugar and banana together. Combine nuts or raisins, oil and vanilla with egg mixture; let stand a few minutes. Stir dry ingredients into egg-fruit mixture until well blended. Bake for about 20 minutes.
