SHAKERTOWN CORNSTICKS 
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg

Beat all ingredients together, beating well. Heat greased irons until hot enough to sizzle. Fill half full and bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes until well browned.
