BOILED CUSTARD 
1 qt. milk
4 egg yolks
2 tbsp. flour
8 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour, sugar and salt, then add eggs, vanilla in a heavy saucepan. Heat over low heat. Add milk gradually. Cook over low heat until custard coats a metal spoon. Cool by placing pan into a pan of ice water and stirring. Chill. For a velvety texture pour custard into blender and blend for a few seconds.
