DILL PICKLES 
1 qt. vinegar
7 c. water
3 c. canning salt
1 hot pepper for each jar
1 clove garlic or onion per jar

Use small to medium cucumbers. Bring vinegar, water, and salt to a boil. Pour over cucumbers. Heat lips and seal. Put into cold water bath and heat to boiling and boil 5 minutes.
