BISHOP'S BREAD 
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter (optional)
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
1/4 lb. chocolate chips
2 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. figs, chopped

Cream sugar and butter; add eggs. Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed ingredients. Fold in cherries, nuts, chocolate chips, and figs. Pour into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 75 to 90 minutes.
