1 yellow cake mix

FILLING:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1 tbsp. vanilla

Bake cake according to directions on box using a 9 x 11 inch baking dish. Cool cake, then slice to make 2 layers.

Filling: Cream butter for 5 minutes on medium speed. Add shortening a little at a time, cream another 5 minutes. Add sugar a little at a time. Mix the milk with vanilla. Add a little at a time. Spread on one layer. Put 2nd layer on top. Cut into squares.
