MOTHER'S KLEJNER (Danish
Dessert)
 
6 egg yolks
2 whole eggs
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. cream
1 tbsp. butter, melted
4 c. flour

Beat egg yolks, eggs, sugar and salt. Add cream, butter and flour to make batter stiff enough to roll out like cookies. Cut in diamond shapes, slit in center lengthwise. Fold. Cook in deep hot fat until light brown. Cook only 6 to 8 at a time. Turn with fork.
