SNOW SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
2 lg. carrots, sliced
2 lg. ribs celery, sliced
1 lg. onion, diced
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes, chopped
1 c. barley
2 bouillon cubes
Ground pepper to taste
2 tbsp. dried parsley
6 c. water

Brown ground beef in large soup pot. Skim off all fat. Add carrots, celery, and onion. Then put in tomatoes, barley, bouillon, pepper, parsley, and water. Simmer 1 hour until barley is fully cooked. Serve with hot bread.
