PERFECT BROWNIES 
4 (1 oz. ea.) sq. unsweetened baking chocolate
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup nuts (optional)

Melt chocolate and butter. Cream mixture with sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add vanilla. Beat in flour. Add nuts. Grease and flour 13x9x2-inch pan. Pour in and bake at 325°F for 25 minutes. Top should appear shining and crusty and pull away from sides of the pan.
