LAYER BAKED POTATOES 
2 1/2 lbs. potatoes, sliced
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/2 tsp. dried oregano or marjoram
3/4 pt. milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spread crushed garlic and herbs into the bottom of roasting pan. Arrange potatoes so that they overlap, pour over the milk and season. Bake uncovered 45 to 50 minutes until milk is absorbed and potatoes are tender.
