WILD RICE SOUP 
1/2 c. uncooked wild rice
3/4 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/3 c. green pepper
3-6 strips bacon
18 med. fresh mushrooms
3 cans chicken broth
3 cans cream of mushroom soup

Wash and boil wild rice for 15 minutes. Drain and set aside. Fry bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons grease in pan. Crumble bacon and set aside. In pan with bacon grease, saute celery, onion and green pepper until tender. Combine rice, soup, broth, sauteed vegetables and sliced mushrooms. Simmer together 2 hours. Serve with crumbled bacon sprinkled on top.
