CHERRY UPSIDE DOWN CAKE 
3 tbsp. of butter (melted and put in round pan)

1/2 c. brown sugar
1 can Cherries in water, drained

1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening, spry
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. milk

Mix spry and sugar; add egg and vanilla. Next, add flour, baking powder and salt; mix together then add milk. Pour cake mix over cherries. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes in 350 degree oven.
