TOMATO SPICE CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. raisins

Sift together dry ingredients EXCEPT baking soda. Dissolve baking soda in tomato sauce and add to flour mixture. Add egg, oil, nuts and raisins; mix well. Pour into 2 greased 8 inch layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool layers and frost with lemon butter frosting.
