1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
Pineapple slices
Cherries
Walnuts
One layer vanilla cake (scratch or box)

In a 9" baking pan, melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar. Arrange pineapple slices, cherries and walnuts. Mix a one layer cake (follow directions on box) and pour all over pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. I use a cake mix and as a result, it's easier to make 2 of these cakes at one time.
