BEEF AND BEER 
4 lb. beef (round cut in cubes) floured lightly
4 pieces bacon
2 c. boiling water
1 c. beer
1 pkg. onion soup
1 tbsp. parsley
1 tsp. thyme

Brown meat with bacon. Remove bacon. Add water, beer and seasonings. Cover and bake at 300 degrees for 2 hours. Serve over rice. Serves 8.
