LEMON POUND CAKE 
3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening or oil
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. milk

Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter and shortening. Gradually add sugar. Beat until light. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add lemon and vanilla extract. Add dry ingredients with milk. Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Place in cold oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
