ANGEL BISCUITS 
1 pkg. yeast
1 tsp. baking soda
5 c self rising flour
3 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. warm water
2 c. buttermilk

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Cut shortening into flour; add sugar. Combine all ingredients. Use as much as needed. Roll 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick on floured surface. Cut with biscuit cutter dipped in flour. Place in ungreased pan. Brush tops with melted butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Store unused dough in refrigerator in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
