4 lg. white potatoes 2 c. buttermilk 2 c. plain flour 2 tbsp. paprika 2 tbsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper Scrub potatoes (don't peel). Cut in 4 pieces long ways. Pour buttermilk over potatoes. Mix flour, paprika, salt, and pepper in bowl. Heat oil for frying, deep fry if possible. Mix dry ingredients well; take 1 piece potato at a time. Dip in flour. Coat real well. Be careful; don't shake off all the flour. Deep fry until golden brown. Put in aluminum foil (secure). Bake in 350 degree oven for 30-45 minutes. |
