SWEET POTATO PECAN PIE 
9 inch unbaked pie shell
1/3 c. white sugar
1/3 c. light brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ginger
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/16 tsp. cloves
1 c. mashed sweet potatoes
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. hot milk
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 stick butter (softened)
3/4 c. pecans (chopped)

Combine first 2 sugars, salt and spices. Blend in potatoes. Beat in eggs, stir in hot milk. Pour in pie shell and bake 25 minutes in 375 degree oven. While this is baking, blend the 1/2 cup brown sugar with butter and pecans.

Take pie out and sprinkle this over partially baked pie and continue baking 30 more minutes.
