PARSLEY SCONES 
2 c. self-rising flour
Seasoning to taste
2 tbsp. finely chopped parsley
1/2 onion, finely chopped
3 shallots, chopped
1 oz. butter
1/4 pt. milk
Extra milk for glazing

Combine the flour, seasoning, parsley, onion and shallots in a bowl, rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine bread crumbs then add sufficient milk to make a soft but manageable dough. Knead on a lightly floured board. Cut into rounds and place on a greased baking sheet, glaze with a little milk and bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until cooked. Makes approximately 12.
