CHOCOLATE MAYONNAISE CAKE 
1 c. mayonnaise
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. cold water
7 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Dash of salt
1 egg

Combine mayonnaise and sugar. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients, add alternately to the mayonnaise mixture with water. Blend well after each addition until smooth. Pour into 2 waxed paper lined 8 inch layer pans and bake in moderate oven, at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
