MUSTARD GLAZED CORNED BEEF 
1 (6 lb.) beef brisket
1 med. onion, halved
1 celery stalk, cut up
1 lg. carrot, cut up
2 cloves garlic, halved
1/2 tsp. peppercorns

GLAZE:

Combine: 2 tbsp. prepared mustard 2 tbsp. ketchup

Cover brisket with water. Simmer 3 to 4 hours until tender. Remove from pot. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut meat into slices, place on platter or open roasting pan. (Reassemble slices and brush or spoon on glaze.) Bake approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

Serve with sauteed cabbage: 1/4 cup oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon sugar.
