DIXIE CORNBREAD 
1 1/2 c. enriched white cornmeal
3 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
2 tbsp. bacon drippings or melted butter

Sift dry ingredients; add milk, egg and drippings, mixing just enough until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour into greased hot 10" oven proof skillet. Bake at 450 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
