GREEN TOMATO PICKLES 
1 gal. green tomato
1/2 gal. onions
1/2 gal. green pepper
1 c. hot pepper
1 qt. vinegar
5 c. sugar
1/2 c. salt

Quarter tomatoes and cut onions and peppers rather coarsely. Put all in pot and bring to a boil. When tomatoes change color, remove from fire, fill jars and seal (about 5 minutes cooking time). Makes 10 pints.
