TOURTIERE 
1/2 lb. ground pork
1/2 lb. ground lean beef
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. marjoram
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 c. hot water
2 c. dry bread crumbs
Pastry for 2 crust 9 inch pie
1 tsp. milk

Combine meat, onion, salt, spices, and water in a large saucepan. Heat to boiling; cover and simmer gently 20 minutes. Gradually add bread crumbs until mixture is stiff, but not dry. Simmer another 10 minutes. Cool. Line pie plate with pastry. Fill with meat mixture. Cover with crust and leave holes for steam to escape. Brush with milk. Bake in hot oven (450-475 degrees) for 20-25 minutes. Serve hot with ketchup.
