BLITZKUCHEN 
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg, separated
2 cups flour
juice and rind of 1/2 lemon
1/2 cup chopped nuts
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cream together butter and sugar, add egg yolk, blending well. Stir in lemon juice and rind. Add flour, mixing well.

Pat dough into a shallow brownie pan, then spread with beaten egg white beaten with 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle nuts evenly over cookie dough in pan.

Bake in a preheated 325°F oven for 15 minutes; cut into bars while still warm.
