BEST FUDGE BROWNIES 
1 1/2 sticks butter
5 tbsp. cocoa
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. pecans or walnuts, optional
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder

Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan. Add cocoa and eggs. Mix by hand. Add sugar and stir well. Add vanilla, flour, salt, baking powder, and nuts (if used).

Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 300 degrees in a glass pan; 30 minutes at 325 for metal pan.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
6 oz. (1 c.) chocolate chips

In a saucepan combine sugar, butter and milk. Bring to boil, stirring constantly. Cook one minute. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Spread over brownies.
