CHOCOLATE CAKE AND ICING 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. milk

ICING:

2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
1 stick butter

Mix flour, salt, shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk together. Bake at 350 degrees in 6 layers until done.

Icing: Mix sugar, cocoa and milk together and cook 7 minutes after it starts to a rolling boil. Take off burner and add 1 stick of butter and beat until cool. Pour over layers.
