OATMEAL SCOTCHIES 
2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tbsp. water
12 oz. butterscotch morsels
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 c. quick oats

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, egg and water, beat until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in oats and butterscotch chips. Drop by slightly rounded measuring tablespoons onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Yields: 4 dozen 3-inch cookies.
