EASY SUGAR COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. soft butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
2 c. sugar
5 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until fluffy. Stir together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. If dough is sticky, add flour. Roll 1/4 inch thick on well floured board and cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in moderate oven (375 degrees) for 8 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen. Decorate with frosting.
