FRIED PIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening or lard
3/4 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. cold water (add 1 tbsp. at a time)

Roll to 1/8 inch, cut in 5 inch circles. Put 1 rounded tablespoon of filling (your choice of filling), fold in half, seal with fork. Fry in electric skillet with oil at 375 degrees.
